Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • 4 cups cold water

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 270°F (132°C) for 2 to 3 minutes if your model requires preheating. Some models can skip this step.
  2. Place 6 large eggs directly into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not stack. Leave slight space between eggs for proper air circulation.
  3. Set the air fryer to 270°F (132°C) and cook according to your preferred texture:
Soft boiled: 9 to 10 minutes
Jammy center: 11 to 12 minutes
    Medium: 13 minutes
Hard boiled: 14 to 15 minutes
Cooking times may vary slightly depending on air fryer model and egg size.
  4. While eggs cook, prepare an ice bath by combining 4 cups ice cubes with 4 cups cold water in a large bowl.
Transfer eggs immediately to the ice bath and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes. This stops the cooking process and helps the shells peel easily.
  5. Gently crack the shell at the wider end and peel under running water for best results.
Serve immediately or store for later use.

Notes

  • Older eggs peel more easily than very fresh eggs.
  • If eggs crack slightly during cooking, they are still safe to eat.
  • If you see a green ring around the yolk, the eggs were slightly overcooked. Reduce time by 1 minute next batch.
  • Large eggs work best for consistent timing.
