- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef short ribs on all sides for 2 to 3 minutes until browned. This adds a deeper, caramelized flavor.You can skip this step if short on time.
- Place the beef short ribs into the slow cooker. Add sliced onion and minced garlic on top.
- Pour in beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and red wine (if using). Sprinkle salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Cover and cook:LOW for 7 to 8 hours (best for tender texture)HIGH for 4 to 5 hours
- Once done, the ribs should be fork-tender and easy to pull apart. Serve hot with sauce spooned over the top.

- If sauce is too thin, simmer it separately to thicken
