- Cook the PastaBring a medium pot of water to a boil. Add salt and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.

- Combine and FinishAdd cooked pasta to the pot. Toss well to coat in the garlic butter. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the pasta looks glossy and lightly sauced.
- Season and ServeSeason with black pepper, optional chili flakes, and herbs. Remove from heat and finish with Parmesan if using. Serve warm.
