  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • 1 tbsp Butter or olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp Salt (as your taste)
  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper

  1. Prepare the eggs
    Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl. Add salt and black pepper, then whisk gently until just combined. Do not over-whisk.
  2. Heat the pan
    Place a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add butter or olive oil and allow it to melt evenly, coating the pan.
  3. Cook the eggs
    Pour the egg mixture into the pan. Let it cook undisturbed for about 1 minute until the edges begin to set.
  4. Add the cheese
    Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over one half of the omelette while the eggs are still slightly soft on top.
  5. Fold and finish
    Using a spatula, gently fold the omelette over the cheese. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese melts and the omelette is fully set.
  6. Serve immediately
    Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
