Ingredients

  • 12 cooked meatballs (frozen or homemade)
  • 12 soft slider rolls or Hawaiian-style rolls
  • 3/4 cup mild marinara sauce
  • cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted (optional, for brushing tops)

Equipment

  • 1 small saucepan (for warming meatballs, optional)
  • 1 knife (for slicing rolls)
  • 1 sheet aluminum foil

Method

  1. Warm the meatballs

  2. Prep the buns
Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves snugly into the baking dish.
  3. Assemble the sliders
Place one warm meatball onto each roll. Spoon a small amount of marinara sauce over each meatball, then sprinkle evenly with cheese.
  4. Bake
Cover loosely with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
  5. Serve
Remove from the oven, add the top buns, and brush with melted butter if using. Let cool slightly, then separate and serve.
