Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups raw sunflower seeds (shelled)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Spread the raw sunflower seeds in a single, even layer on the baking tray.
  3. If using oil, add the seeds to a mixing bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss lightly until coated.
  4. Transfer the seeds back to the baking tray.
  5. Place the tray in the oven and roast for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the seeds turn lightly golden and fragrant.
  6. Stir once or twice during roasting to ensure even cooking and prevent burning.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the seeds cool completely before storing.
  8. Season lightly with salt if desired.
